Planning a bridal shower that’s as sweet as the bride-to-be? Look no further than a bride to bee theme—charming, whimsical, and totally Insta-worthy. Whether you’re a seasoned party planner or tackling your first event, this guide will help you pull off the ultimate “Meant to Bee” bridal shower with DIY flair and heartfelt touches.
The Theme: She found her Honey Bee
Honey bees symbolize community, love, and hard work—what better theme to celebrate a couple buzzing toward their big day? With soft golden hues, natural textures, and pops of greenery, this look is both elegant and playful. Also the couple met on bumble so that’s another reason the bride chose this theme.
Decor

Honeycomb centerpiece
I made faux honeycomb centerpieces using jumbo craft sticks and a little hot glue gun. The Beehive’s were handmade by the bride’s aunt. We also added candles, vases, and greenery —bonus: the greenery was left over from my wedding, making it both sentimental and budget-friendly.
The guestbook
Guestbooks are hard because a lot of times they’re used just for the day so I decided to do something a little different. I created a custom bee apron using a black vinyl and a blank apron. It added just the right amount of personality and uniqueness to the table. I only had guest sign the pocket so it kept things tidy.

I found the mirror at TJ Maxx but here is a similar mirror. Look a like picture frames the one shown is from Dollar General.
The Food
We made a DIY Charcuterie board using these cute “MRS” letters. It made for a cute and functional added décor piece.
I had my stepdad make this honeycomb cupcake stand out of wood—and it was a showstopper! The display perfectly matched our theme and made the cupcakes look almost too pretty to eat.

We dressed up the tables with finds from Tablecloth Factory, including tablecloths, plates, and silverware. The muted gold tones paired beautifully with the theme and gave everything a polished feel.
The Backdrop

I borrowed this hexagon wedding arch from a friend. Bride to be sign from Etsy. To add texture, we layered in a gold curtain I had from a previous shower. Always reuse what you already have. Don’t forget the Bride to Be Sash! Balloons
